I'm not your average PI. I started out working for an SPCA in Los Angeles years ago doing animal cruelty investigations. To do this, I needed to go through a reserve police academy. We wore uniforms and badges, and carried full police gear, including a gun. It was a tough job - emotionally and sometimes physically. Seeing the things humans sometimes do to animals is heartbreaking and infuriating. But I was empowered to do something about it. When I see injustice I want to do something about it.

As a private investigator I started out doing the usual bread and butter work, like cheating spouses, insurance fraud, and liability investigations - that would be your "slip and fall" type cases. These are interesting enough, but how much did they help the vulnerable in society? I needed to do more.
